The new contemporary house replaced a dated and bland 1950’s house on this stunning site with views over Dublin Bay and out to sea. The house is located to the back and of the site and is seating onto the existing bed rock with slimline glazing and double height spaces creating a light filled, airy and open home. The construction method was primarily insitu concrete with rain screen cladding and silicone based acrylic renders on external insulation providing and A rated efficient and comfortable home. The slim line aluminium glazing (Kokoon) permits maximum benefit of the stunning views and allows the natural light penetrate deep into the floor plan. (Paul)
